Janos Elbert a well-known literature professor and translator director of Institute of Theatre History, the editor of Soviet Literature and lecturer of Hungarian Film Academy unexpectedly died in the spring of 1983. The cause and the circumstance of his death are still unknown. Authorities closed the investigation by providing a ridiculous explanation. Elbert’s death said to be linked to Hungarian Intelligence.
